Akwaaba UK in partnership with Active Promotions will be hosting the annual Ghana Party in the Park on Saturday 3rd August 2013. This year’s Party in the Park is set to be biggest outdoor family event ever!

The CEO of Akwaaba UK Mr Dennis Tawiah said in a statement:

“Party in the Park promises to be bigger and better! Attendants will be treated to exciting performances from some of the best Ghanaian and UK based musicians. Together with the London Borough of Enfield, we have put in place measures to ensure that the thousands of patrons from across the UK, Europe and Ghana are safe as they experience the excitement synonymous of the annual event.”

Dennis Tawiah was the recipient of the GUBA Special Achievement Award in 2012, for his contribution to the Ghanaian community in the UK. Akwaaba UK’s efforts from hosting friendly football matches, Miss Ghana UK and Ghana Party in the Park was recognised and made Dennis a deserving recipient of a GUBA award.

The headline acts for this year’s event will be ‘GUBA Best Music Act of the Year 2012’ winner Mista Silva and fellow GUBA nominee Fuse ODG. These artists will be entertaining the crowd with their hits ‘Now What’s Up’ and ‘Antenna’ amongst other tracks.

The day will be filled with fun activities such as: Arts and Craft Exhibition, Cultural Troupe Dancing, Durbar of Chiefs, Live Band Music, Fashion Show, Face Painting, Bouncy Castles, Food, Drinks and many more.

His Excellency Prof. Kwaku Danso-Boafo, Ghanaian High Commissioner to the UK, will also grace the event and address the Ghanaian Community.

Party in the Park is a family fun day celebration which serves as a platform for Ghanaians and other African nationals to network and sell the rich Ghanaian culture to the rest of the world.
