West Africa’s first ice skating ring has been launched in Ghana. ‘Skates in the City’ is the first ice rink of its kind to grace the soils of West Africa. This unique skating experience will be taking place from the 15th of December to the 3th of January at the Lizzy Sports Complex in East Legon.
The ice rink is specially designed using synthetic ice made formed out of a solid polymer. This material designed to hold normal metal-bladed ice skates and suitable for all weathers.
‘Skates in the City’ is a unique fun filled family activity and comes just in time for the Christmas holidays. It opens from 9am to 9pm seven days a week, and costs range between 8 to 12 Ghana cedis for children under 12 and 10 Ghana cedis for adults, inclusive of rental skates. Professional skaters will also be on site to help new skaters.
Offers are available for birthday parties, corporate events and other private functions. The Portable Skating rinks are also available for private hire.
