GUBA 2012 is assured to be an awesome occassion, surpassing the success of our previous award ceremonies, this year we welcome www.stylesafrik.com as the providers of our luxurious goody bags. We have been told to expect an array of unique and wonderful items, quite simply we can’t wait to dazzle and treat all our guests.
StylesAfrik is an exciting new online retailer, directed and co-owned by Stephanie Mensah and Harrison Ofosu. Both Stephanie and Harrison are of Ghanaian descent and joined forces after realizing a major gap in the market to purchase and showcase African inspired designs within the western market.
Evidently the African fashion scene is becoming harder and harder to ignore as the amount of talented designers across the African continent and beyond compete to serve lovers of bold coloring, afro-fusion detail, Ankara print, ethnic inspired suit and couture tailoring to name but a few.
Uniquely StylesAfrik doesn’t just stop at clothing for men and women, their service offering features beauty products, children’s’ wear and home furnishings. With over 40 designers across the UK, USA, Europe and Africa, StylesAfrik are putting in the effort to provide customers the opportunity to purchase limited edition handmade items, made by artist who specialize in using traditional methods to produce cutting edge modern day designs.
StylesAfrik seeks to bridge the gap by offering an online hub of innovative designers who provide an array of desirable collections to a mainstream, commercial marketplace. Recent work for the StylesAfrik team include supplying Hillary Alexander, fashion editor of the Telegraph and fashion industry veteran with African inspired clothing for the Breast Cancer Care Show earlier this month.
Despite the fact that the StylesAfrik team have been operating for less than a year, they have made such a progress in the industry. There lies a bright future ahead for StylesAfrik.
