The August London riots put a stop to Ghana’s plans of playing 18 year old Mohammed Abu in the friendly against Nigeria. The match has been rescheduled to Tuesday 11th October at Watford F.C and was famously postponed due to the London Riots which saw a large number of people rioting and looting causing widespread panic.
Mohammed Abu was scheduled to play. The Manchester City youngster who is currently on loan at Norwegian club Stromgodset. Mohammed is tipped for great things and is another talent to come out of the Right to Dream Foundation.
Right to Dream (RtD), in partnership with Vodafone, is a professional sports, education and leadership academy in Ghana. Right to Dream have been nominated for a GUBA (Ghana UK Based Achievement Award for best Charitable organisation. The GUBA awards will take place on the 11 November at the Park Plaza Hotel Embankment. Guests will include the Ghana Vice President Kwami Sefa Kayi.
